Chapeltown Development Trust is a member-owned organisation – the directors come from the membership and are elected by the members and key decisions about pursuing large-scale projects are taken by the members.
Members can only be individuals who live in Chapeltown or who have a connection with the area. The directors can decide to refuse a membership application from someone who they don’t believe fulfills those criteria.
We also offer Associate Membership for organisations and for people who wish to support CDT without being full members or who are not eligible. Associate Members can’t take part in votes (eg elections).
There is a membership fee of £10.
At the moment there is no annual fee – once you’re a member, it’s for life until you resign. We can’t promise it’ll always stay that way, but it would be a decision taken by the members (ie you) if it were to change.
We hold quarterly member meetings and the Annual General Meeting of all members is usually at the end of May, although the 2012 AGM will be held on Wednesday 18th July 2012, 6pmat Roscoe Methodist Church.
To apply for membership, complete an application form and return it with cash or a cheque for ‘Chapeltown Development Trust’ to us at Unity Business Centre.

There are also forms available in the office, at CDT events and on the CDT stall at the Chapeltown Market, or we can post one to you on request.
