Would you like your photo to be considered to be included in a commemorative photo book ‘Celebrate – 50 years of Leeds West Indian Carnival’ published in August 2017?
Here is what Guy Farrar has to say:
We are looking for your pictures and snaps from the last 50 years that include: the troupes – the crowds – the early Carnival in the 70’s and 80’s – the traditional Carnival characters – the Kings, Queens, Prince and Princesses – J’Ouvert Morning – Masqueraders – people making costumes – on the road – Pan – the Queen and other Shows and anything else you think can capture the spirit, fun and creativity of Carnival. Please search your old boxes and memory banks to find an image or two that tells your story of Carnival.
You can bring them and meet us at Leeds West Indian Centre, Laycock Place, Leeds LS7 on Thursday 11th May from 12-2pm, Saturday 13th May 12-2pm or Tuesday 16th May 5-7pm or email them in an electronic version to firstname.lastname@example.org . Last submission must be by 5pm, 21st May 2017.
Conditions: You can submit up to 2 photos or electronic images. To be included in the book, we will consider their quality (including its technical qualities), how they link to our book themes and the diversity of participants. If included, images may be reproduced in various sizes in the book, decided by the editor(s) and subject to these criteria. By submitting an image you agree to our free use of it. We will take every care to acknowledge your image accurately and if relevant, will ask for some detail about it (e.g. where, when, who).
