What skills, experience and knowledge do you bring to Chapeltown Development Trust?

I have 30 years’ experience of work in the community and voluntary sector in paid and voluntary capacities; in service delivery, management and governance roles.

I have worked in local government for over 25 years in project management and strategic roles. This experience has provided me with an understanding of the pressures and opportunities of the public sector. I have also served as a non-executive director on the Board of large health care organisations such as North-East Leeds Primary Care Trust.

I am currently at the University of Leeds undertaking doctoral research. This experience provides me with data analysis, monitoring and evaluation skills that are essential for project and programme management.

As a resident of Inner North-East Leeds for the past 26 years I have first-hand knowledge of some of the pressures faced by inner-city residents.

The combination of these experiences have helped me to understand the importance of delivering appropriate and accessible services to improve opportunities for people.
