Chapeltown Development Trust is an emerging development trust. Incorporated in September 2009, we are a fledgling organization with big ideas!

Our mission: “To promote the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of Chapeltown”

We were originally funded by the Development Trust Association (DTA) with support through Leeds Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI). Our objectives are to increase regeneration opportunities in the neighbourhood.

Chapeltown Development Trust is a standalone organization with a Board of up to 12 directors either living or working in the neighbourhood. A list of directors and their personal profiles can be found on our website http://www.chapeltowndt.org.uk/board-profiles.

We work in partnership with partnership with other local organisations, for example with Unity Enterprise to develop the Chapeltown Enterprise Network, and with community groups such as Chapeltown Youth Centre and Feel Good Factor. To be a viable local organization we are keen to have a broad membership of local residents.

Our definition of Chapeltown is within Harehills Lane to the North, Roundhay Road to the East, Sugarwell Hill to the West and Clay Pitt Lane/Sheepscar junction to the South. A boundary map can be seen at http://www.chapeltowndt.org.uk/news_and_events/chapeltown-map.html
